Curtis & Torrie make history in Lagos, with the first Team Malik Double Podium!

The 13th May 2023 will go down as a historic day for Team Malik as the first ever Double Podium for the family.

The Lagos State Classic 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria was the stage for Curtis Malik to clinch his 7th PSA Challenger Tour title & Torrie Malik secure her 6th.

Although Curtis dispatched his final opponent Martic Svec 11-3 11-7 11-2 in only 24 minutes, his route to the final was not so easy, having a one-hour-plus battle with Lagos local and world 790 Adegoke Onaopemipo in the Quarters and having to overcome his younger brother Perry (pictured) in the Semi-Final.

In the Ladies draw Torrie didn’t drop a single set throughout the tournament and easily dispatched Egypt’s Malak Fathy 11-4 11-4 11-6 (20 mins) in the final.
